Morrisons Recalls Range Of Frozen Food

Morrisons has been forced to recall one of its frozen food product’s because of fears that it may be contaminated with plastic.
In a statement, the supermarket group confirmed that it is taking the precautionary measure of recalling its own-brand Frozen Family Potato Croquettes “as a small number of the batches may contain pieces of soft blue plastic”.
“If you have purchased the above product with the Best Before End given (Jan 2010), please do not consume, return the product to your nearest store for a full refund,” Morrisons advised.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product safety and quality.”
The statement added that no other products were known to be affected.
Consumers and local authorities were immediately warned about the problems associated with the Morrisons product by a Food Alert, issued by the Food Standards Agency .
In 2007, Morrisons and rival grocer Sainsburys were forced to recall their naan bread products over fears they contained traces of glass.
