Recall on products as FSA find Aldi food supplier to be unhygienic

German discount store Aldi has recalled some biscuits after a fear that they may have become contaminated.
The Food Standards Agency found that biscuits that have been produced by Baketime Ltd were manufactured in ‘unhygienic conditions’.
The supermarket giant has issued a recall for some of its products accordingly, saying: “Please do not consume this product if you have purchased it.”
Aldi’s Cheese Thins and Cheese Bakes; cheese, smokey bacon, and salt and vinegar Oddbite packs; Ginger Nuts biscuits and Bestway’s Mini All Butter Shortbread, were all among the affected products.
Aldi added: “Customers who have bought these products with these batch codes are asked to return them immediately to their nearest store, where a full refund will be given.
“No other batch codes are affected. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your co-operation.”
