Tesco has announced plans to expand its F&F fashion label to a global audience.
New stores for the low-cost, high-fashion brand will be franchised out to various retailers across central Asia, the Middle East and eastern Europe.
Kazakhstan, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia are all markets the large retailer hopes to exploit.
Tesco will expand its existing relationship with Saudi Arabia-based retail company Al Hokair, which already hosts 12 F&F outlets in the country. The retail conglomerate will manage the label’s expansion into the target markets.
The announcement comes as Tesco announced UK-based F&F sales have exceeded £1 billion since its inception – increasing by nine per cent over the last 12 months.
F&F clothing is currently on sale in 12 countries, with stand-alone stores in the Czech Republic and Poland.
Jason Tarry, chief executive of the label, said: “We’ve had a strong year and our combination of good quality and contemporary design appeals to customers across the world … I’m excited to see F&F move into these new markets.”
