Consumers with a 123 Credit Card from Santander are being offered an extra 1 per cent bonus cashback on all restaurant and bar spending over the summer.
The new offer is valid at a selection of popular UK restaurants and bars, including Nando’s, Pizza Express, Strada, Prezzo, Pitcher and Piano, Slug and Lettuce, Zizzi and Jamie’s Italian, until September 30.
The bonus is also being offered in addition to the existing three cashback areas of one per cent on supermarket spending, two per cent on department store spending and three per cent in petrol stations.
Adam Mussert, director of Santander Cards, said the lender “promised offers like these” when the 123 Credit Card was first launched.
“Our card has proved so popular with our customers and we wanted to offer them something extra on top of the usual cashback to enjoy over the summer,” he commented.
“Whether you’re having lunch with friends, a drink after work or treating the family to a meal out, you’ll now earn an extra one per cent cashback on this spending too.”
He added that Santander is also extending its fee refund offer, meaning customers who already have the 123 Current Account and take out the matching credit card will be refunded their first year’s annual fee, saving them £242.
