3D HTC Smartphone Available For GBP229 At Asda

Fans of HTC smartphones will be pleased to hear that Asda has cut the price of the HTC Evo 3D for the second time in as many months.
The SIM-free version of the HTC handset, which is only the second one on the market to feature glasses-free 3D viewing technology, is now available for just £229 – less than half of its original non-contract launch price.
The new price cut makes it one of, if not the, cheapest high-end phones on the market. However, it does suggest that demand for the 3D mobile has been lower than expected, at least in the UK.
While not up to scratch with the latest smartphones, the Evo 3D still packs some impressive features. It has a 4.3-inch qHD display with 960×540 resolution, a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, two 5 megapixel 3D-capable cameras on the rear, a 1.3 megapixel snapper on the front and a microSD card slot.
In terms of software, it runs Android 2.3.5 ‘Gingerbread’ alongside the latest version of HTC’s user interface, Sense 3.0.
