Tesco offering hassle-free double glazing

Supermarket giant Tesco has expanded into yet another area of non-food retail, this time moving into the cut-throat double glazing market.
The UK’s largest retailer has launched a new website – www.tescowindows.com – for its latest business venture, which it says has “NO salesmen, NO hard sell and NO price deception” and “simplifies the whole process of buying double glazing “.
The site offers Tesco’s own range of windows, doors and conservatories, with fittings supplied by nationwide home maintenance firm Job Worth Doing.
Prices start from £554 for white PVC windows, rising to £1,913 for bay windows, and all products come with a 10-year guarantee. Furthermore, customers can collect double Clubcard points on all purchases.
Tesco DIY buyer Fabio Perrotta said: “We are unique in that we believe in transparent pricing, therefore our guide prices are published on our website, unlike other providers.”
He added that written quotations apply for 30 days and customers can expect “the very highest standard of workmanship”.
