Shoppers Rushing To Buy Tesco Replica Of Kate Middleton Dress

A replica dress of the one worn by Kate Middleton during her Royal engagement to Prince William sold out in less than hour after being launched online by Tesco .
The supermarket giant yesterday on Tuesday that stock of its Florence and Fred range dress, which is a copy of the draping navy blue Issa London design worn by Miss Middleton for her official royal engagement announcement, had run out on by 2:30 pm.
Shoppers rushed to buy the aptly named “Kate Dress”, which at just £16 is more than 16 times cheaper than the original designer fashion item.
Tesco confirmed that limited supplies of the dress are available in selected UK stores and that more stock will be added online over the next few days, but warned that it expects al stock to be sold by the end of the week.
Jan Marchant, Tesco’s buying director said: “Kate Middleton looked extremely elegant in her choice of outfit and many women wanted to find a high street replica of this now iconic dress. It’s very versatile – a classic design and perfect for many special occasions.”
