Supermarket chain Asda has issued a recall on one of its baby clothing products due to safety concerns.
The retailer said it is taking the precautionary measure of recalling the £6 George Baby Basics Three-Pack Sleep Suit and Seven-Pack Body Suit because it found transfers on the item can come loose when washed, which is “a potential safety issue”.
It is urging customers who have bought the baby suits not to use to them and to return the product to their nearest Asda store for a full refund. No till receipt is necessary.
A spokeswoman for Asda said: “Because we take your safety very seriously we are taking the precautionary measure of recalling the product.”
“We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. No other George products are affected.”
Worried shoppers who would like more information regarding the George baby suits can contact Asda’s Customer Relations team on 0500 100 055.
