GBK Burgers Coming To Waitrose Supermarkets

Supermarket chain Waitrose is to launch an award-winning range of burgers from the Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) brand this week.
Clapham House Group, the restaurant operator behind the popular GBK brand, said that Waitrose would soon become the first grocery retailer to stock their award winning 100 per cent fresh Aberdeen Angus patties in the UK.
The 6oz premium quality burgers will be available to buy in over 60 Waitrose stores from Wednesday 21st July.
The patties will cost £4.49 for a pack of two and £6.99 for a pack of four, and will also be trialled by online grocery retailer.
A statement from Clapham House Group said: “We are delighted to announce the launch of the GBK 100 per cent fresh Aberdeen Angus Pattie.”
“We believe that this initiative could develop into a potential new profit stream for the GBK brand and also provide us with a route to communicate our brand and values to a much larger audience.”
It added: “Over recent years there has been an increase in demand in supermarkets for fresh beef burger patties. We are also aware that consumers are eager to recreate restaurant experiences at home and want to be reassured by quality brands.”
“To date the UK retail burger market currently has had no nationwide fresh restaurant branded product presence.”
