Waitrose Rolls Out Cashmere Toilet Paper

Waitrose is offering its upmarket customers luxury toilet rolls containing cashmere, one of the softest materials available.
Cashmere is usually used to produce super-soft and expensive jumpers, socks and scarfs, but Waitrose has now used it to create an indulgent and stylish loo roll.
Billed as the “most luxurious bathroom tissue yet”, the toilet paper is covered in a “significant” amount of oil extracted from the hairs of the cashmere goat.
The luxury loo rolls have gone on sale at Waitrose stores nationwide at a price of £2.29 for a pack of four – double the price of the retailer’s Essentials Ultra toilet rolls – and £4.79 for a pack of nine.
Carla Smith, buyer for the upmarket grocery chain, said: “Cashmere provides that stamp of quality to any fashion garment from a designer suit to the finest luxury knitwear .”
“It’s indulgent, it’s stylish and it’s helping provide that extra softness to our new premium bathroom tissue collection.”
As well as the cashmere toilet roll, the new luxury bathroom range from Waitrose also includes tissue enriched with jojoba or aloe vera .
