Asda Launch GBP4.75 George School Uniform

Supermarket giant Asda is offering parents the chance to pick up a full school uniform for their kids for less than £5.
The retailer is launching a George-designed uniform for children aged three to 16 from tomorrow for a bargain price of just £4.75.
The ‘All Age, Same Price’ range consists of a 100 per cent cotton polo shirt or Easy Iron shirt, a 100 per cent cotton sweatshirt and Teflon coated trousers .
According to Asda, the same uniform for a 16 year-old would set parents back £15.25 at Tesco and £21.50 from Marks and Spencer .
George managing director Anthony Thompson said: “You don’t pay more for bigger adults clothing, you don’t even pay more for larger sized bras anymore. So it is simple customers should not pay more for compulsory school clothes .”
“Every child in this country needs a school uniform and they deserve the best quality it can be. I would put our quality up against anyone else on the high street.”
He added that the supermarket could sell 10 per cent of all its back-to-school clothing by the end of next week.
The move comes after the success of last year’s £4 school uniform offer, which was available for kids up to the age of 12.
The special £4.75 offer will be available for ten days in all Asda stores nationwide and online at George.com.
