Asda has announced plans to open a further five of its Living stores across the UK by the end of the year.
The openings will take the total number of outlets to 21 and provide shoppers with over 200,000sq ft of sales floor space devoted to Asda Living, which offers homeware, clothing and entertainment products .
New stores are due to open in Bristol’s Eastgate Retail Park, Chester’s Broughton Shopping Park, Teesside Retail Park, Wrexham at the Island Green shopping park, and in Llantrisant Glamorgan Vale Retail Park, Wales .
John Hudson, head of acquisitions at Asda Living, commented: “Our expansion plans for Asda Living are on track, which is great news for Asda customers and retail park landlords .
The supermarket giant launched its Living retail department in 2004 and has since enjoyed growing popularity among UK consumers.
“Asda Living stores are attracting people to retail parks because the stores provide them with access to a wide range of quality products at Asda’s unbeatable prices,” Hudson added.
