New employees are currently being trained before the official opening of the Express store, due to take place at 8am on April 3. From then on the store’s business times will run from 6am to 11pm, seven days a week.
Tesco faced angry opposition when announcing plans for the store last year, with local businesses submitting a 379-signature petition against the supermarket giant due to fear over a loss in trade .
