Waitrose has opened its first UK convenience store to shoppers in Nottingham .
The 5,800sq ft mini- Waitrose outlet situated in the city’s popular Trinity Square kicked off business this morning at 9am.
The Nottingham store offers fresh fish and meat, freshly baked bread on-site and a ‘Time of Day’ concept, where customers can order breakfast, lunch or dinner to go.
Opening hours run from 7.30am to 9pm from Monday to Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
Waitrose, the UK’s fifth largest supermarket chain, is currently trialling its next convenience store in Bristol ahead of its scheduled launch next spring.
The upmarket retailer confirmed that two more stores will open at around the same time, but refused to comment on the locations.
