Asda Store Unveils New Fruit Juice Bar

An Asda store in South Gloucestershire has celebrated the opening of an exclusive new fresh fruit bar – the first of its kind for the supermarket giant.
The smoothie and fruit bar in the retailer’s Patchway store was developed with the help of South Gloucestershire Council’s ‘Active for Life’ team and is exclusive to Asda Patchway as part of the store’s £3 million redevelopment plan .
The team joined store manager Mike Jarrett to toast the opening and to promote its half-term activities, which include speedball, skipping and Patchway’s ‘walk to health’ scheme .
Jarrett said: “I was delighted to welcome the Active for Life team in store to celebrate healthy eating at half term.”
“The customers seemed to really enjoy finding out the benefits of exercise alongside their healthy and delicious smoothies,” he added.
Jonathan Wheeler from Active for Life said: “We were delighted to be the first to try the new smoothies and promote healthy living in Patchway. I would like to thank Asda for inviting us.”
The store make-over is set for completion in the next two weeks, with a re-launch celebration set to take place on November 12.
