Tesco have announced the addition of celebrity couple, Vernon Kaye and Tess Daly, who will model clothes for the supermarket giant.
The star couple were flown in to South Africa for a photo shoot where they modelled the supermarket’s summer collection .
The married couple, both models before they became TV presenters, have been signed by Tesco to help promote the retailer’s clothing range over the next 12 months for an undisclosed sum.
Terry Green, chief executive for Tesco Clothing, said the celebrity pair shopped regularly at the chain.
“This is major coup for Tesco and I’m really pleased to have such a popular couple modelling our clothing,” he commented.
“They are a popular, well-loved couple that we know our customers like.”
Even though the pair are Tesco’s first celebrity couple, it isn’t the first time the UK’s leading supermarket has used a famous face to help give it a marketing boost. Supermodel, Naomi Campbell was previously involved in an advert, which ran several years ago.
Vernon Kaye, from Bolton, Lancashire, and Tess Daly tied the knot four years ago and have a daughter together, Phoebe Elizabeth.
