Cadbury Trebor Bassett, the chocolate manufacturer is having difficulty in getting some of their well known products into shops in time for Christmas, the busiest time of the year for the retail industry.
According to one retailer, “There are some highly disgruntled wholesalers. There’s been all sorts of problems.
The problem is due to a new computer system that was implemented.
A spokesman for the company admitted there were some delays in getting confectionary to shops but they were confident of being able to meet the Christmas demand.
He said, “We are still dispatching huge volumes of confectionery.”
Among the products affected are Dairy Milk, Roses and Heroes.
Hopefully the matter will be remedied soon and the lines of distribution will get back to normal.
