Supermarket chain Waitrose is to launch a new range of packaged food developed by celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal.
Twenty new products specially created by the daring chef will go on sale at Waitrose stores in October, with prices ranging from £3 to over £10.
The range includes some of Blumenthals outlandish recipes such as vanilla mayonnaise, tea-smoked Scottish salmon and ponzu dressing, which is a citrus-based Japanese dressing made with rice vinegar, mirin and konbu.
Shoppers will also be able choose from a selection of chilled ready meals, bakery goods and puddings .
"It has been an exciting new opportunity working with Waitrose on this extensive range of products," Mr Blumenthal said.
"We have had an enormous amount of fun developing the different products in the range and hope that it will offer a little something for everyone to taste and enjoy."
Waitrose marketing director Rupert Thomas commented: "This partnership is a perfect recipe for our customers, offering inspiration and innovation with some really special products."
"This brand is a natural progression of our relationship and we know that our customers will love to cook with Heston's range."
The Waitrose range marks the first time that Blumenthal, whose Fat Duck restaurant is currently ranked as the third best in the world - has lent his name to any packaged food products.
