Supermarket giant Tesco has launched a new console games trade-in scheme across a number of its UK stores.
The retail giant has rolled out the service to 60 supermarkets throughout the country following a successful trial at its Basildon outlet earlier this year.
Under the scheme, customers can trade-in their old and unwanted console games for credit that can be used against any products on sale in Tesco stores . The pre-owned games will be then be offered to shoppers at second-hand prices.
Gamers can expect to receive around £12 in store credit for new Playstaion 3 games such as 2010 FIFA World Cup, £17 for Mario Kart on the Nintendo Wii and £19 for the Xbox 360 version of Red Dead Redemption.
Yesterday Tesco launched Britains first supermarket shopping drive-thru service at one of its store in Baldock, Hertfordshire.
According to the company, the first of its kind service is aimed at busy parents "who cant afford the time to stay in for the shop to arrive to their door."
