Supermarket chain Asda is helping ensure parents keep their kids active and healthy this Easter by offering free sports sessions during the school holidays .

Asda's Sporting Chance sessions, which are being rolled out across Britain, offer kids free access to at least five different sports sessions within a 10-mile radius of every Asda supermarket .

The retailer said this was to ensure that sport is accessible and affordable for families on a tight budget, and to provide youngsters with activity-packed holidays .

Lisa Burnett, head of Asda in the community, said: "With the current economic climate remaining gloomy, Asda wants to ensure that kids remain happy and healthy ."

"Sporting Chance sessions offer families free local activities during the school holidays - taking the financial pressure off parents ."

The Sporting Chance vouchers are available in all Asda stores from today and can also be downloaded at Asda-sportingchance.co.uk.
