Asda has launched a new website offering customers information and support on adopting a healthy lifestyle.
Visitors to the supermarkets Health Matters site can rate and share articles on healthy living, sign up to an email newsletter, take part in monthly polls, listen to podcasts and experiment with body mass index (BMI) and nutritional calculators .
Users also have the option to introduce the website to friends, increasing awareness of health issues and driving more visitors to the online portal.
Health Matters was created by digital design agency MadeByPi and replaces Asda's previous ‘Feel Good' site.
"With the new site we want to engage as well as inform our customers," said Asda brand nutritionist Bryonie Hollaert.
"Health Matters offers a user-friendly experience and demonstrates healthy living as affordable and accessible."
She added that the health of Asda shoppers and colleagues is vital to the retailer and the new site "reflects that pledge".
