Asda has launched a replica of the dress worn by the teenage pop sensation Hannah Montana for just £10.
The dress was launched by the supermarkets George clothing brand to coincide with the UK premiere of the hit Disney film Hannah Montana: The Movie, which goes on general release from May 1.
The outfit is worn by actress Miley Cyrus, who plays Hannah Montana, during one of her stage performances in the new film and is also featured in the trailer for the movie.
Asda stores nationwide along with website George.com are stocking the pink frilly dress, which comes with a fitted top and a flared skirt consisting of three ra-ra tiers. It also features and belted waist and bow detail on the front.
The retailer is expecting the dress to sell by the shed load after receiving over 35,000 requests from the public for clothes inspired by the Disney pop princess.
In addition, 43 per cent of mums in a recent consumer survey said Hannah Montana was their children’s favourite brand, just one per cent less than High School Musical .
George brand director Fiona Lambert said: "High end fashion brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs often have waiting lists for their most sought after products."
"Who would have thought 10-year-olds might want a waiting list for a Hannah Montana Dress?"
