Tesco To Reward Workers With Shopping Vouchers This Christmas

Staff at supermarket giant Tesco are to share more than £25m in vouchers and savings as part of the retailer’s Christmas bonus scheme.

The 268,000 UK employees at the supermarket’s stores, distribution centres and head offices will each receive up to £96 of shopping vouchers on Tesco products .

Each member of staff will also be given an extra day’s holiday (paid leave) as a reward for their efforts over the busy Xmas period.

Tesco benefits manager Louise Pocock said: "Following our aim to make Tesco a great place to work, we always strive to increase and enhance benefits offered to all members of staff."

"We are very aware that this Christmas and next year will be one of the tightest times for finances, and for this reason, Tesco is committed to offering savings and discounts to staff throughout the year," she added.

Earlier this year the UK’s largest retailer rewarded its British-based employees who had worked at the firm for more than 12 months with nearly £100 million worth of free shares .
