Tesco has slashed the cost of prescription glasses by 25 per cent, adding to the retailers 1,000 sale items launched last week.
Starting this week until Tuesday January 20, prescription glasses from all Tesco stores will be available with a 25 per cent discount off the total price, including all lenses, and all lens options and treatments.
The supermarket giant gave consumers some festive cheer last week with the launch of a huge sale on more than 1,000 products including Christmas food, drink, toys and gifts .
Philip Banks, Tescos optical commercial operations manager said: "We want to help customers make their money go further."
"Now people who may have been putting off buying a pair of spectacles and concentrating on other costs this Christmas will be able to focus on themselves."
