Supermarket chain Waitrose has recalled a batch of its own-brand Shortcrust Mince Pies and a selection of Bart Spices Coconut Cream .
The affected batch of mince pies is being pulled off store shelves due to fears that they could contain pieces of plastic.
Waitrose has displayed product recall notices in all of its nationwide stores alerting shoppers about the recalled product - Waitrose box of 6 Shortcrust Mince Pies .
The upmarket retailer has also been forced to recall its Bart Spices Coconut Cream, with a best before date of June 2008, because the product contains milk which is not listed as an ingredient.
